Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Taantghor collects, why we need it, who we share it with and what choices you have. We collect only what we need to run a safe wholesale marketplace.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, phone number, email (if given) and password (stored encrypted).
• Shop details: shop name, address, district and the type of business.
• Verification documents: trade licence, NID and shop photos. These are kept private, seen only by our verification team, and never shown to other users.
• Delivery details: delivery and counter addresses, and the name of the person collecting.
• Payment details: payment method, amount and the Transaction ID (TrxID) you submit. We do not see or store your bKash, Nagad or Rocket PIN or your bank password.
• Chat messages: messages between buyers and sellers, which are stored and checked automatically for moderation.
• Usage data: basic technical logs such as IP address, device and pages visited, used for security and fixing errors.

Why we use it

• To create and verify accounts and keep fake ones out.
• To process orders, verify payments and arrange delivery of lots.
• To moderate chat, prevent fraud and settle claims and disputes.
• To send order updates and service messages.
• To improve the platform and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

• Sellers see only what they need to fulfil your lot: your shop name, the name of the person collecting, phone number for the transport booking and the counter you chose. They never see your NID or trade licence.
• Buyers see a seller's store name, location and ratings.
• Transport companies (such as SA Paribahan, Sundarban Courier and Janani Express) receive the name, phone number and counter needed to book and hand over the bale.
• Service providers that host our servers or send SMS and email, under contract and only for that purpose.
• Authorities, when required by Bangladeshi law.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. Order, payment and claim records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements. Verification documents are deleted or archived after an account is closed, unless we must keep them for a dispute or by law. Chat messages are kept for as long as they may be needed for moderation and disputes.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, documents are stored with restricted access, and only staff who need it can see verification files. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.

Your rights

You can view and update your account details at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to close your account and delete what we are not required to keep.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and your cart working, and a language cookie to remember whether you prefer English or Bangla. Analytics cookies are used only if they have been enabled, and never for advertising.
