Seller guidelines

Taantghor connects verified weavers, cooperatives and mahajans with shop owners and online resellers across Bangladesh. These guidelines keep the marketplace fair for everyone. Please read them before you list your first product.

Listing a product

Every product is reviewed by our team before it goes live. A listing is approved faster when it has:

  • At least 5 real photos taken in daylight: the full piece, the anchal or border, a close-up of the weave, and each colour on offer. No catalogue or borrowed photos.
  • Honest details: fabric (cotton, half-silk, silk, jamdani and so on), length and width, thread count if you know it, and whether a blouse piece is included.
  • MOQ (minimum order quantity): the smallest quantity of one design you will sell, for example 4, 10, 20 or 24 pieces. Buyers can mix colours of the same design to reach the MOQ.
  • Tier prices: up to three price tiers, with the price per piece dropping as quantity grows.
  • Correct stock: keep stock up to date. Cancelling an order because a design has sold out hurts your rating.

Dispatch and packing

  • Dispatch every lot within 48 hours of the buyer's advance being verified.
  • Pack pieces in a sealed bale with polythene inside against damp. Write the lot number clearly on the bale.
  • Book the bale on condition at the buyer's chosen counter (SA Paribahan, Sundarban Courier or Janani Express) and enter the booking receipt number on the lot page the same day.

Each seller's part of an order ships as its own lot, so you are only responsible for your lot.

Chat and quotes

  • Keep all talk with buyers inside Taantghor chat. Phone numbers, emails, links and requests to pay outside the platform are masked or blocked automatically.
  • Reply to messages and quote requests within one working day. Quote requests are reviewed by an admin before they reach you, so they come from verified buyers.
  • Quote a price you can honour. Once a buyer accepts, the quote works like an order.

Ratings

Buyers rate each lot after collecting it. Accurate photos, careful packing and fast dispatch earn good ratings, and well-rated stores appear higher in search.

Not allowed

  • Copies of other brands or designers' trademarked designs.
  • Power-loom fabric sold as handloom.
  • Asking buyers to deal or pay outside Taantghor.
  • Fake reviews, or several accounts for one business.

Payouts

Your payout for a lot is released after the buyer has collected it and the claim window of 3 days has passed without a claim. If a claim is raised, the payout waits until it is settled. See Damage & claims.

Suspension

We may hide listings, pause payouts or suspend a store for repeated late dispatch, misleading listings, off-platform dealing or abusive behaviour. In most cases we warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Serious fraud can lead to immediate suspension. If you think a decision is wrong, contact us.
