These terms apply to everyone who uses Taantghor, whether you buy, sell or just browse. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

Taantghor is an online marketplace, based in Gulshan, Dhaka, that connects handloom sellers (weavers, cooperatives and mahajans) with business buyers. Sellers own and sell the goods. We run the platform, verify accounts and payments, and help settle problems.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under Bangladeshi law.
• Give true and current information, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One business, one account, unless we agree otherwise.

3. Verification

• Buyers must be verified (trade licence, or NID with a shop photo) before checking out.
• Sellers must be verified (trade licence, NID and a loom or shop check) before listing.
• We may refuse or remove verification if documents are false or out of date.

4. Listings and pricing

• Sellers must describe goods honestly, with real photos, and keep stock up to date. Products are reviewed before they are published.
• Each product sets its own minimum order quantity (MOQ) and tier prices. The price that applies is the one shown in your cart when you place the order.
• Handmade cloth may vary slightly in colour and weave. This is not a defect.

5. Orders and lots

• An order is confirmed once the advance is verified, or once a cash on delivery order is accepted.
• Each seller's part of an order is a separate lot with its own lot number. Each lot is a contract between the buyer and that seller.

6. Payments and advance

• Buyers pay a 25% advance by bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank transfer and submit the Transaction ID. The balance and any transport charge are paid at the transport counter on condition delivery.
• The advance must be paid within 24 hours. Orders without a verified advance are cancelled automatically after 48 hours.
• Cash on delivery is available for orders up to ৳50,000.
• Sellers are paid after the buyer collects the lot and the 3-day claim window has passed.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Buyers may cancel a lot before it is dispatched. After dispatch, refunds follow our Refund policy and Damage & claims process. Sellers who cancel confirmed lots without good reason may be penalised.

8. Conduct and chat moderation

• Keep all deals and payments on Taantghor. Deals made outside the platform are not protected.
• Chat is moderated. Phone numbers, emails, links and requests to pay off-platform are masked or blocked, and we may review messages to prevent fraud and settle disputes.
• Do not harass other users, post fake reviews, list counterfeit goods or try to get around our fees.

9. Intellectual property

The Taantghor name, logo and site design belong to us. Sellers keep the rights to their own photos and descriptions, and give us permission to show them on the platform and in our promotions. Do not copy other people's content without permission.

10. Limit of liability

We work hard to verify users and keep the platform running, but we do not make the goods and cannot guarantee every seller or buyer. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees we earned on the lot concerned. We are not liable for delays or losses caused by transport companies, network outages or events outside our control.

11. Suspension

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, usually after a warning.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Dhaka.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we will tell you by notification or email before they take effect. Continuing to use Taantghor means you accept the updated terms.
